Anderson Inn, definitely stay here!

My wife and I recently stayed for several nights at this lovely hotel in Morro Bay. The room (the Embarcadero) was spacious and well appointed, the bed comfy and with two decks (one facing the Embarcadero, the other with a view of Morro Rock) we had a very nice stay.
Anderson Inn is very conveniently located and there are many nice choices of restaurants near by (within easy walking distance). Also within walking distance is Morro Rock (recommended to hike there!) and the path affords beautiful views of the Bay, and abundant marine life, including otters, harbor seals and even a dolphin or two. I read a few comments about the gulls squawking all night but really, it’s all part of the experience and their “singing” didn’t bother us one bit.
The staff at the hotel are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. If I had one nitpicking comment, their television channel selection could be better. However, as I said, that’s a very minor comment. (If you go on vacation with the sole purpose of watching TV, maybe you shouldn’t leave home!)

A Beautiful place to relax and unwind

Loved our stay in the Portside Room of the Anderson Inn. Spacious room, beautiful balcony overlooking Morro Bay and Morro Rock. Also a pair of comfortable chairs inside overlooking the water if you prefer. Large bathroom with whirlpool tub and separate multi jet shower. Complimentary robes. Gas fireplace. Free parking. Walking distance to restaurants. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Colony of sea lions lives in the bay on a platform close by and sea otters are plentiful. There are binoculars in the room for your viewing pleasure. Note that the sea lions bark all night, but you can’t hear them with the doors closed. Great place to relax. Would definitely stay here again.

Incredible Place to unwind!

This is one of those places that Ernest Hemingway would have called “a clean well-lighted” place….a place to re-center oneself and let the stress go. It lived up to, and exceeded, our expectations. The new owners and one of the original Andersons were all part of the “package. “ Thanks to all of you who made this place special.

Weekend getaway

Newly renovated with new owners. excellent location. Great customer service and the newly renovated rooms are amazing. We stayed at Anderson Inn last year and were so happy that we went back. This time we had the water front room which was amazing. We definitely recommend this place for couples. We are looking forward to future visit.

Best Location, great view of Morro Rock, lovely room

Charming and friendly check in, room is huge, bright, clean. Nicely appointed, and a massive shower in the bathroom. Balcony looked towards Morro Rock, but it gets nippy at night. Comfortable beds, slept really well. Funny that the sea lions barked all night, but we could only hear them when in the bathroom. Good location to start long walks.

Fantastic Inn!
